The MIT Police Department produces a written daily crime log that is available to the public, as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
Crimes reported to the MIT Police Department for the past 7 days appear below. Although the MIT Police Department attempts to make the electronic version of the log as accurate as possible at the time of posting, it is not the official police log.
The official police log is available for visual inspection by visiting the MIT Police Department administrative offices on the first floor at 301 Vassar St., Cambridge, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
Older crime logs, dating back seven years, are available upon request by visiting the MIT Police Department administrative offices. Please be aware that some requests for crime logs may take as much as 2 business days to process.
The MIT Police online crime log is published in PDF and can be viewed using Adobe's free Acrobat Reader, available through the MIT Software Distribution page (certificate required) or directly from Adobe.
